The Vet thinks Coco might have a Thyroid Problem and maybe teh start of Kidney problems. We are going to do another Senior Panel. Her last one was good for a Cat her age. She has some symptoms of a Thyroid Probelm.
Hopefully you are catching things early enough so that it is treatable and Coco can still have a good healthy life. An acquaintance I cat sat for had a 20 yr old cat that I did an IV drip of fluids for. She had kidney probelms. It was super easy and the cat was a such a good kitty while getting it done.
It is nice to see that vet medicine has gotten to a point where these dx are not a death sentance!
My other person I cat sit for has a diabetic kitty that I give insulin shots to 2x a day...again, the cat is super good about it and he would not have lived these 12 yrs w/o it (he was ddx young).
Thanks,
I lost Cocos girl last Dec to Kidneys. We didnt know she had it and she was only 5. My Stripe had Crf and she lived was Pts at age 11. I do know alot about Crf. When Coco was 9.5 she almost died and her Gluclose was 329. Her Bun was 91. They thought she had Diabetes but she had Fia. It seems more like a Thyroid problem.
