The Kittens’ First Fort

I’m eagerly awaiting the adoption of my two babies on Saturday. I cannot wait, nor can I contain my excitement... so I figured I’ll channel all that energy and DIY a cat fort out of some old boxes!
I found two boxes and set to work. I’m pretty proud with how it turned out, and I’m excited to see if they’ll enjoy it. It’s a two story playhouse with an inside entry to the top floor, and lots of windows. Knowing me, this is just the first of many forts... since I’m sure it won’t survive their antics for long!
I’ll make sure to update with photos of them playing in it as soon as possible.

My kittens’ first fort was a humble fort.

They loved it but they outgrew it quickly.

V verna davies I bet they enjoyed it while it lasted! I’m sure cardboard forts provide more enjoyment when being destroyed than when being used.

The simple box bed I made them is apparently vastly superior to the plush bed from the store.
They’ve been sleeping in it since they tuckered out earlier in the evening.

“Did you seriously think I’d stay asleep?”

“I’m going to go play now. See ya.”

“Now I’m up too.”

“I’ll get a good stretch in before I go show my brother how a true master of playtime performs.”
