Let me just say that is a great day! Not only my birthday but my mom and dads wedding anniversary as well. (don't worry that they were divorced when I was 6 months old!)Originally Posted by ugaimes
Thanks TracyI've gone a bit overboard- I have a Wedding Channel wedding website, too.
A big bit of news- it looks like we're moving up our wedding date to Sept. 9th! The place I wanted more than anything- the Wilmington Island Club (on the island where I grew up)- is available on that date only and the date works fine for us. We're going to get the details on the place this afternoon, but it looks like a done deal. Plus, it'll cost us about HALF of what the Mulberry would (meaning we can splurge on fun extras now!). PLUS, it's within walking distance of the church I grew up in, so I may be able to convince Bradley to have the ceremony there.
Now that we're changing the date to September, I'm not going with the out-and-out fall theme. Instead, my colors are going to be shades of brown and pink- very trendy and very cute!
Thank you Katherine!Originally Posted by katspixiedust

RENEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's wonderful news!
Look at all you happily engaged people. It's so sweet!! Congrats to EVERYONE! I hope all of your days turn out as perfectly magical as you envision!
My parents offered us $10,000 to get us to elope. The way I would do it is elope in your hometown then had a party at your parents and one at his parents later. Nothing big, have a bunch of friends over, have food drinks and some music and keep it casual.Originally Posted by Rockcat
Would it be rude if we eloped???????????????
Great idea if we could afford it - we can't do anything like that for now though. I am already planning a trip in May. My fiancee doesn't get vacation yet (relatively new job). It would actually be more affordable to have them here (which, like I said, we can't afford right now). And, ok - I can say it here (probably the only place people will understand). Unless our truckdriver friend is in town while we're away, I don't really have anyone I want to watch the cats.Originally Posted by eburgess

I found a dress that I absolutley love!!, I haven't had the chance to try it on (so never know it might not suit me) but I did call the place where I want to get my dress and they do have it in stock and it does fit my budget!
