My biggest problem with walking outside is getting all the clothes on to walk. Long underwear, pants, top, scarf, ear muffs, gloves, snow sneakers, Yak Trax, etc. It takes for ever to get dressed for walking and then undressed afterwards.
I have the same kind of problem. I like to combine walking with teaching and other errands I have to run. Today, for instance, I had a student who lives walking distance from my house. I got the bus down, so I didn't look too windblown when I arrived, then walked back. But what shoes to wear? Business shoes are no good for walking in and I look kind of odd turning up in my hiking boots. I wish it was summer so I could wear sandals and paint my toenails again.
90 minutes walking today, the last 30 minutes was uphill carrying a big bag of groceries.
Jury is still out. Garmin had 3-4 days where the Connect app wasn't working, so that made it more difficult. They seem to be on track now. I don't thin the step count is accurate, but you can measure your step length and input and I will do that but woudl like to have my husband watch to make sure I am being accurate about it.sounds like the garmin vivofit is a great gift Abbysmom, ! let us know how you like it or if you don't as you go cuz i'm trying to decide between garmin, fitbit and nike ones. positives and negatives on all of them.
Years ago I got Nintendo Wii with balance board and I did attempt that Yoga in Wii Fit, it was really hard! Maybe because I'm as flexible as an iron barIt's cold here but absolutely beautiful weather. We haven't had any snow for a week and the sky is so blue.
I managed one hour of yoga and a 90 minute walk yesterday. (60 minutes uphill then 30 minutes back down again)
I saw a tanuki while I was out on my walk, so cute!

@JTbo
I hear these are common in Finland too. What do you call them?
Yes, Japanese tanuki don't run away from people unless you make a noise or run towards them. They usually just sit there and watch you walk past. They don't seem to hibernate, last winter a few came down to share food with the feral cats. I thought cat food wasn't good for them, so I left out a bowl of nuts and vegetables. They loved thatI think that Tanuki is bit different than our Supikoira (Nyctereutes procyonoides), Tanuki is called Japanin Supikoira here. Our Supikoira is having winter sleep currently so it is very rarely seen until 1-2 months from now when their hibernation cycle ends.
I guess Tanuki there is somewhat used to people?
Last night fever got up to 42C, it was really hard to get even door opened, but I needed to cool down temperature to lower my body temperature so I put snow into my head, horrible cold, but brain works better.
what is a burpees?I did 10 reps each of burpees, shoulder touch push ups, squat thrusts and prisoner lunges for a total of 10 mins. Then I did 50 sit ups and finished with 5 mins of burpees (75).
Good work everybody
It's what happens if you do yoga inverted poses right after you eat.what is a burpees?
Oh no it can't be, because according to Wikipedia it is exercise that makes your vision goes black and you find yourself on the ground after vision comes back with several new pains in your body, inverted poses of course have undesired effects done after eating well as you say, but they don't make vision go black, still several new pains in body is guaranteedIt's what happens if you do yoga inverted poses right after you eat.
