If you love the big cats, here's an organization dedicated to preserving them:

The new arrivals are too cute (check out the baby pics). What is incredible is how socialized the cats are. The EFBOC (exotic feline breeding compound) is so peaceful to visit - nothing like a zoo! If anyone gets out near Edwards Air Force Base, they should definitely go out to the Cat House. Kids love it! And the docents are very strict about everyone showing the cats respect (nothing like San Diego Zoo, where I "got into it" with some moms whose brats were banging on the glass at the tiger exhibit, just like the scene in "Free Willy" - it was like a nightmare! And the docent there just didn't care - she said that she couldn't be responsible for someone else's kids)
