Just wanted to say how glad I am to have found this site and say thanks for all the support and advice I've received over the past couple of weeks. This site is awesome. Sometimes, I feel like my family, friends and coworkers don't entirely "get" my love for cats. It's wonderful to be around others who do.
It wasn't always that way. I grew up in a family in which dogs were the preferred family pet. This is so hard to admit but, about 14 years ago, I hit a cat driving home from class one night and just kept going. At the time I thought "it's just a cat." I still feel terribly guilty thinking about it.
Obviously, I had a conversion experience at some point. My baby girl, Katie, is responsible for that. When I got her as a kitten, I had no clue about cats.
I thought she was cute and fun to play with, but that's about it. At some point though, I realized how much I loved that little cat. Now, I can't imagine life without her, Gracie and Peter.
Anyway, thanks again.
