Terumo needles

Hi everyone
On Tanya’s feline CKD site, it says I need a prescription for needles in NY, CT, IL, NJ, RI, NH, DE, and MN.
I read it at Tanya’s link, here....

I live in PA and my vet is in MD. Neither state is on the prescription list for these needles.
My question is: Why is Chewy asking me for a prescription for the terumo needles if I live in PA? I asked someone on Chewys live chat, and this was her response:
”It can be because it's a prescription item on our site and our system recognizes it that way to inquire a script or us to contact your vet”.
My vet will no longer OK any prescriptions from Chewy.
Is there a site that has them that will not ask for a prescription from my vet?

Does anyone know where I can get Terumo Hypodermic thin-wall 18g x 1” needles without having to have a prescription?

Try shopmedvet.com. I tried putting Terumo 18 needles in my cart and went to checkout and wasn't asked for a prescription. Didn't key in a zipcode or state or anything though. I thought it would ask before I got that far. See what happens. Good luck. I buy my IV set-ups from them too.

I found shopmedvet late last night and ordered a box of 100 of the terumo 18g needles and 6 tubings.
Sooooooo much cheaper than Chewy, and no prescription required!

I am in PA and order my Terumo needles from Med-Vet. No prescription needed. But here is another source for Terumo needles; again no prescription needed. www.thrivingpets.com

This fall it was very hard to source Terumo needles due to monsoons in Philippines where Terumo are made, so better have a back-up source in case one supplier is out.

I’m still curious why Chewy is requiring a prescription for Terumo needles when a prescription is not required for them in most states.
