I'm really enjoying Expedition Impossible (ABC) right now.
I liked to watch Ina Garten,Barefoot Contessa (DH calls her the Snobby Contessa, but I love some of her recipes) and Alton Brown's Good Eats. That's not airing anymore, but Alton is working on another series. Can't wait for that.....I just love that guy; I love his quirkiness and I learned so much from him. I think I like him because he doesn't just tell you to do something; he tells you why you have to do it that way. Sometimes I'll watch the Neeley's, too, but I have to in the mood to watch them. I haven't watched the Food Network in a long time.Originally Posted by Catkiki

I learned how to chop onions without too many tears there.
I used to love Good Eats, but then my view of Alton Brown was soured immensely by his behavior on The Next Food Network Star... he can really, really be a jerk. I wish his personality would line up with how he is on Iron Chef and Good Eats, but unfortunately it doesn't.Originally Posted by Winchester

DH watches Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, but I can't stand to watch Guy what's-his-name. Honestly, that man curdles my corpuscles.
OTOH, I used to watch Man v. Food quite a bit on the Travel Channel.
Oh - I forgot. Thanks to the Hoarders thread floating around in the Cat Lounge, I'm now addicted to that, tooOriginally Posted by LuvMyParker
But right now its time to catch last nights new episodes of Hoarders and Intervention.

I also watch Animal Planet. I love the one's about cats obviously. Also the one's that rescue animals from cruel and neglective owners. I saw one last night about some horses that were so emancipated that one could not even stand. They had to put him in a brace so he would even have a chance to live. The owners were convicted of felony animal abuse. They got 5 days in jail, $1000 fine and 100 hours of community service. The horses were adopted out to new, caring homes. The one that couldn't even stand made a full recovery. It didn't look like the same horse.

You are talking about Penny. I was glad when she left too. I love Cupcake Wars but DH hates it.Originally Posted by Sneakymom

It's bad. My 17 and 14 year old watch it too. It was too funny. They had this one contestant on that the girls were comparing to Sneaky Pie (she used to hiss at everyone) I can't remember her name- but she was the one who won a challenge and then was a you-know-what by stacking the next challenge in her favor AND then she said "Oh yeah- I did that on purpose".
My family cheered when she got sent home
I almost turned the TV on last night to watch HGTV's version of it. But then I thought I'd get addicted to that show too

People are shocked I haven't been watching AGT this season, because I do pole dance for fitness and fun, and there's a pole dancer who's made it a couple rounds. But I just cant take Steven Retchless that seriously. He's very strong and talented on the pole, but the outfits and dancing very femininely just turns me away from really wanting to watch it. My brother has a new crush on him thoughOriginally Posted by catlover19
Normally I get excited for Americas Got Talent, but this year its not very good. .
