We have a close source for ground duck and chicken that include bones ground to powder.
TCFeline has dried bone meal in it.
Would the extra bone be detrimental to the science?
Or should we seek another source for ground meat without bones, as there is no version of TCF that I see that is without bones.?

Yes. Too much calcium can cause constipation in cats. Since TC Feline already has a calcium source, you need to use boneless meat with it.

An alternative to TC Feline that doesn't contain a calcium source is Alnutrin for Meat and Bone.

oh darn, I see Alnutrin has no liver/organ meat. Have to check and see if the ground source includes organ meat.

my source is ground meat with bone and separately, organ meat.
Is there a certain amount of organ meat to mix in with Alnutrin and the ground meat and bone, or just so the meat & bone ratio with Alnutrin is the same.?

I suggest following the Alnutrin for meat and bone recipe: A Guide To A Balanced, Homemade Cat Food - Alnutrin Supplements

Recipe for chicken or rabbit meat & bone with organs

Add together:
1 pack (or 4 g) of Alnutrin for Meat & Bone (Pre-packaged)
1/4 cup (or 60 g) of water, can be adjusted as needed.

Mix lightly, then add

1 lb (or 454 g) of ground raw chicken or rabbit meat & bones with organs (including liver)

Mix well. Divide into storage containers and freeze unused portion.

I know that felines don't need carbs, but are there any that are acceptable? Cranberry for urinary or other veg or fruit?
If only to satisfy the hunger, or should I stick to the recipe and feed as desired.?

Cats have no need for veggies or fruits in the diet. They are obligate carnivores. Just stick with the Alnutrin recipe without additional stuff added to it :)

I won't feed raw coz, first off, makes me nervous, even though he had been a grand mouser and birder.
2ndly, he only has bottom canines. It's already work for him even with shredded Tiki.
So I plan to cook the ground poultry meat/bones/liver. But to what temp? 165ºF like human or is a little less better/OK?
I have a sample of Alnutrin and heading out to buy a tube of ground.

You can do fully cooked, as you would if you were cooking the meat for yourself. Or do a little less. Whatever your cat prefers :)

Hi again.
meat and bones with alnutrin sample failed. He hurled, so I suspect the m & b source, even though reputable.
I buy grocery thighs with skin and bone and I will do what Dr Pierson refers to, cook for 15 to 20 mins @ 350º.
I gave him a bit of that a few time for a "treat". He had no issue with that.
Dr Pierson also cooks the liver.
Alnutrin has 2 versions of the calcium product. Egg shell or limestone.
1 over the other for any reason?
