I agree with Leansidhex - wouldn't feed TOTW either. It's co-packed by a crap maker and it's junk. Sorry for all the pr-TOTW feeders. You have to feed what you are personally comfortable with, however to me, ingredients are not the whole story on a pet food. I take big measures to research the ingredients, where the come from and the company itself. Many of the companies are all tied into one another. You end up paying big money for a fancy name and really you are getting the same exact low line food right off the same lines as another lable, just in a prettier bag
Ingredients Rocky Mountain Feline Roasted Venison and Smoked Salmon
Chicken meal, peas, sweet potatoes, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), pea protein, potato protein, roasted venison, smoked salmon, natural flavor, ocean fish meal, DL-methionine, potassium chloride, taurine, choline chloride, dried chicory root, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, yucca schidigera extract, dried fermentation products of Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum, dried Trichoderma longibrachiatum fermentation extract, zinc proteinate, vitamin E supplement, niacin, manganese proteinate, copper proteinate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), vitamin A supplement, biotin, potassium iodide, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin (vitamin B2), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, manganous oxide, sodium selenite, vitamin D supplement, folic acid.
There are very little natural forms of good vitamins like alfalfa and kelp or rosemary that many of the better brands have, they are all supplemented which leads to many problems in health and production. Several good ingredients are missing such as eggs( not egg product like in their canine formulas) and cranberry. The first ingredient is Chicken Meal; Venison and Salmon fall way down in the ingredient listing and the are not even meal (which would give you a greater meat content because water has been removed prior to cooking).
