Hi everyone!
I'm new here. I'm glad I found this site! I've had cats my entire life and could never live without them, even though they do drive me crazy sometimes!
My husband and I have 4 cats and 2 golden retrievers. (Can't leave the golden boys out!) Sadly, we just lost our 12-year-old German Shepherd a few weeks ago.
Anyway, the main reason I joined this site is because I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with feeding their cats Taste of the Wild grain-free food. I have heard of it before, but we have never tried it. When we were at Tractor Supply the other day buying dog food, we saw that they carry both formulas of TOTW dry cat food, and for a very good price! I really like the looks of the ingredients and it sounds like a great quality food, but I wanted to get some opinions on it before we decide to make the switch from the Pro Plan indoor cat formula, which we have been feeding for several years. All of our cats are strictly indoor cats and they are all very healthy and active and none of them have any weight problems. Bailey, our oldest, will be 8 this summer, Scooter will be 6 this summer, Abby, our black Maine Coon, just turned 4 today, and our youngest and most insane cat, Eddie the Russian Blue, is 2. If any of you have used this food before, how did your cat(s) do on it?
I have to admit that I'm a bit paranoid about food. When I was 18, my parents had to put down one of our cats who came to us as a stray a few years before due to really bad crystals, which the vet thought might have been food-related. He was the best cat. Definitely don't want to go through that again! Maybe we should just keep them on the Pro Plan since they have always done well on it and have never had any health problems at all, but I'm just a bit curious about TOTW!
Here are the 2 formulas they have. I have NO idea which one to go with if we do decide to try it out, so any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
