Two days ago my husband came home with a box, and inside was a kitten, est. at 2 1/2 weeks old. He told me he was working construction and his boss came across a litter of kittens, immediately decided to pick 4 for himself, then left one alone. My husband felt sorry for the little one so he took her. I'm pretty aggravated at his boss, but I need to take care of this little kitty...but feel a bit lost.
Feeding her isn't actually an issue for me. The issue for me is her bowel movements. She hasn't had one since I got her. She has been peeing just fine, and she's a very spirited kitty (she's constantly on the move!), but she's not pooping. I was told to rub her bottom gently to initiate a BM but she struggles and whines and I'm having absolutely no luck. Today I noticed that maybe her anal area is bulging out slightly, looks a bit brown in the middle...I can't figure out if she can't poop or what. I'm kind of really concerned :/ I'm very paranoid about her health.
I've been trying to get her to a vet ASAP but all the places around here won't let me go in any earlier than 8AM Thursday. I live in a very rural area so my options for vet care are limited.
Is there anything I can do? :/
