Hey guys,

I think I'm confused, or missing something here...

I tried to syringe some pumpkin to Hobbes tonight, and I think I must have done it incorrectly, because it just flicked EVERYWHERE when he licked it. Is there a technique I'm missing here??

Also, how much should I give him and how often?? It's for soft stool.

Thanks!

Well, when I syringe feed Onyx I usually aim for the little gap towards the side and back of the mouth. I hope that makes sense. That way his tongue doesn't flick it and it does't get all over the place.

Yep, that's the trick!
Just make sure it's to the side, so it doesn't accidently go down "the wrong pipe"
.

Hehe.. I had to syringe feed Pippin a little tonight. After about 6 ccs of food, he finished the rest himself out of the bowl. It was very messy though so I'd love some tips too since I may have to do more assist feeding this week.

I hope your baby feels better soon!!

Thanks, guys...

I did try that a bit (going at it from the side), but maybe I didn't quite get it well enough. I'll try that again tomorrow...

Thank you so much...I hope yours is better soon, too, Devlyn.

Hugs to you all!
