I understand. I'll poke around a bit shortly and see what I can find.

I'm sorry to say I didn't find much. All I can tell you is to look for a vet ot internal medicine specialist that has experience treating Ascites as they my be able to help more.

Hi All,
I just adopted two 5 month old kittens and one has a very bloated belly. I was told she tested positive for roundworm and has been given drontol several times but it isn't any better, possibly worse? Her hunger is insatiable so I think she may still have worms. I wondered about possible malabsorption or ascites...? I'm taking her to the vet next week but wondered if anyone can offer insights? She's on Fortiflora probiotic but it doesn't seem to be too helpful. She's also wheezing on the in-breath. Thx for any help!!
My kitten did the same thing. They treated her twice it came back. There are different medications . The hookworm roundworm and threadbare or pinworm mebendazol is good. Pryantol is another one. Get a shot or pill form. Then you'll have to clean the sheets and floors and all areas as it kills larvae but not new eggs. So repeat in thirty days a d clean clean
