Does anyone have experience with cats that enjoy water? My cat is odd to say the least, but seems to like water and I'm not sure how to go about introducing him to water deep enough he could actually swim...life jacket? What kind or brand is recommended by those of you that have used them?

My former cat, "Spike" liked water and would jump into the shower or bathtub with you if you let him.

If you want to encourage your cat to go into the water, set something up so that he can walk in and out of the water as he likes.
Maybe you could fill your tub with water so that one end only has an inch of water. Most bathtubs have a slightly sloped bottom. One end will have a couple of inches while the other end will only have a little.

What about a baby bath? Just fill it and leave it for him to play in.
If you have space, what about a kiddie pool?

If your cat likes water, there's no reason why he shouldn't play in water if he wants to. There's no harm in it.
