That sounds like a wonderful accomplishment.Quitting my job of 32 years, after thinking about it and being urged by my husband to do so for about two years. My "early retirement" (volunteer work at the local animal shelter) is a lot busier and more fulfilling than I'd expected.
Congratulations! Great way to start the new year.
I had a decent (albeit mind-numbingly boring) job with a good company, and after much time and effort spent trying to get ahead internally, I went for an external position with a different company. Thought it might have been slightly out of my reach, but figured I'd shoot for the moon in any case. And guess what? I landed. I start the new job on January 5. I took a chance and it paid off.
That is quite an accomplishment! Especially sweet after such a scary first experience! Pregnancy is easy for some women. I've had complications with both but they could have been MUCH worse; and that was enough for me to appreciate it when things go right.I managed to carry my son full term. I know to most people that is normal and not an accomplishment but it was for me. My 2 year old was born over 10 weeks early, my 2 month old was born just 8 days before my due date. He was a normal size and is growing really well. My daughter is still tiny for her age and was born at just 2 pounds.
