Summer Shedding?

Im in So Cal and it’s been getting super hot. My medium hair cats has been shedding like crazy! Never experienced this much shedding with him before, is this normal during the summer?

I used the furminator I have for my dogs on him and the amount of fur that I got off him was amazing! I could have made two other cats with that! Lol

I think as long as everything else is normal, both drinking/eating, and output your baby's uber shedding is probably just a reaction to the increased heat.

Felix was going through the same thing. I shaved him down because the heat and shedding was too much for everyone. He's much happier now.

Sorry to say, it's normal. I've got the AC on high, and so far, my kitties aren't overly shedding. They also get hairballs from the loose fur.

BTW, a flea comb gets tons of loose fur out.
