Sudden Yowling

Try to place her in the litter box before you go to sleep on the couch and see if she will go. Maybe even give her a treat/snack too. If she needs to go to the litter box in the middle of the night, or wants a snack, it could be waking her up and then that starts the pattern. I'm not saying it will work, but it is another thing to try. I'll keep thinking...

I just wanted to update this post since it’s been 2 months. Ki has pretty much stopped the night time yowling. I really believe it was a stress/grief response to our Petey passing away. She stopped eating the food when Gabapentin was in it so I stopped giving it to her and besides an occasional yowl here or there she is so much better now

Thank you for the update as well as the valuable insight on grief. IMO, many people underestimate and misunderstand the emotions of cats, especially grief and maybe they will recognize Ki's behavior in their cat & respond with your level of compassion.
