Hello, I rescue strays or every once in a while an owner will drop one off on my porch. This morning i found a tote box on my front porch with a very pregnant mother. I live in upstate new york and during this snow storm i brought her inside and a couple of hours later she gave birth to 4 babys. Heres where the kicker comes in. She gave birth to them on my bed but wont let me move her into a nest i made for her. ive had cats who have given birth before so this isnt new to me but she keeps them covered with a blanket. Now my house isnt cold at all but im afraid that they will over heat. is this normal for a mother. she looks like shes had babies before but ive never seen this. She also will freak out if i leave the room for more than a an hour. i Dont have to be next to her just in the room.
Thank you so much
