A few days ago, about 4-5 days, this beautiful stray cat showed up on our street. She was previously a few streets up for a few days and so on, she has been making her way around town. She looks a lot like a seal point Siamese, but a little lighter and semi long fur (light blue eyes). Now I normally help what strays come our way by putting out food, posting ads or looking for their owners, and on some occasions taking them indoors. This girl is now inside our home, due to neighbor kids torturing her and not letting her be. Anyways, we brought her in and realized WOW she is huge, about to POP any day. She is VERY pregnant. I have dealt with my share of pregnant cats, but they have been my own cats... not strays and I have never owned a Siamese kitty. I am not sure if there are any signs I should be aware of or anything different to do.
She is flea infested. I just bathed her and removed as many fleas as I could. I was worried to treat her, this far along. She had a cyst on her face and she clawed it open. The vet said to just keep it clean. She is also very skinny, so of course she was offered our cats' food. Because she is pregnant, we got out two separate boxes out for her.... to try to help her get ready for labor, when the time comes.
Anyways, I am almost positive she is due any day now. Just want to be sure and ask if there is anything more I need to do for her. Her belly is hard, you can literally see the babies kick (just looking at her, not touching her), she is lactating and is VERY friendly (she will not leave our sides). So should we expect kittens in a few days or weeks? And is there anything else I should do for her?
