Hey my cats toenail has been looking weird for a while but couldn’t get a picture until now, it doesn’t seem to bother him, he’s still his playful curious old self. But I’d just like to know what’s going on.

the small pointy thing on top is his nail, the lump underneath I have no idea, it’s kinda hard but not like a nail hard. Does this require a vets attention? I don’t want to go out unless necessary, especially since he doesn’t seem bothered by it. I only noticed because I trim their nails regularly. Did he just loose a nail the way we might if I our toes get injured?

Yeah, it looks like he pulled that nail out. It shouldn't need vet attention unless it gets infected, so just keep an eye on it for now. It looks ok right now.

Thanks, I didn’t even know that was a thing. :)
