Strange Food Tastes...

I had a quick question about my 1 year old male cat's eating habits.
He seems to really enjoy between 4-5 leaves of fresh baby leaf spinage daily with a normal sized serving of S.D. dry cat food. Since I have begun feeding him like this he has seemed to ignore other plants in the house.
Is this bad for his health or is it ok to keep feeding him spinage daily, as he enjoys?

Spinach is fine as an occasional treat (beware of nitrates), and if it's organic (avoid pesticides). Have you tried your cat on canned food? He may not be all too keen on dry food, and thus digs into the spinach. Canned food is more like a cat's natural prey, and preferable for urinary tract health.
Have you given him cat grass? That's something he could eat every day.
