Stopped using litter box

After Comet got neutered, he suddenly stopped using his litter box, Now, he's using my bed. How do I retrain him to go back to the litter box?

Also, I know he caught a cold, and this could be playing a role in his recent "accidents." Do I deal with the accidents until he's back to normal or start now?

Laura,

Usually when a cat stops using the litter box it is because the cat has some medical issue (in your case possibly pain) or it is territorial.

Given your boy just got neutered I am wondering if it is pain driven. I would highly suggest contacting your vet as soon as possible  and letting your vet know that he is not using his litter box and I would really suggest getting him get checked out. It will be best for him and you.
