Hey guys. I accidentally stepped on my cat's tail a few moments earlier. At first just the spot I stepped on was fluffy, then she kept flicking and whipping her tail and the whole thing was fluffy. Eventually her tail went back down to normal size. She is letting me touch her tail and she is flicking it around. Obviously I'm concerned I hurt her, what do I look for for a tail injury?

If the tail is moving normally and the skin isn't broken, she is almost certainly just fine. Since she's flicking it, just try to check for blood. I kinda doubt you're going to find any since she's allowing you to handle her tail. It happens. We feel HORRIBLE about it, but it happens.

Thank you! I don't see any blood or feel any. I am trying to look her over for broken skin and I'm not seeing any. Thank you so much!!!!
