Nah, some emergency vet hospitals really do charge that much! I feel very lucky that the one here is only $90 for the office fee, about double a regular office fee.

I took Oliver to the vet when I first got him and he had a check up, a booster jab, worming tablets and flea treatment and it cost near enough £70. Not bad I suppose. I've also read threads where people say the nearest vet is tens of miles away. We have at least 3 in a two mile radius. Mind you, the UK is a little place.

Our vet is almost 30 minutes away, but I live out in the country.
