Ok this is my third post about inappropriate urination/pooping issues with my cat Sophie.
First I should mention that we have four cats. None of the others have EVER, not once, used anything but the litter boxes. We have four boxes circulating at all times (we live in a two bedroom apartment so this is the max we can have.
Sophie pees on EVERYTHING. When I say everything, that is no exaggeration.
Up until this morning, the only place she had pooped besides a litter box is our bathtub, which I don't really mind because it's easy to clean before my husband notices.
The past couple of weeks, she has started to pee on the bed. My husband already hates this cat due to all the issues she has caused, but I've cleaned the bedding and bed four times with enzyme cleaner.
Then this morning, the worst thing that has ever happened.
I walked into the bedroom (I've made a rule, she's not allowed in there without supervision, but this morning my husband didn't shut the door) and there was a huge pile of poop on the bed.
That is a first.
I don't know what to do. We spent a fortune at the vet and everytime we go back, they need even MORE tests. We just can't afford all of that. I've tried every suggestion possible, changed litter, tried different spots, different litters, different EVERYTHING.
I blame myself because this cat was taken away from her mother at five weeks. I was unaware at the time how horrible that was for a kitten. I just had no idea.
My husband is at the end of his rope. He threw a shoe at her this morning. I feel like a referee constantly getting in the way of his outbursts because this cat has caused so much harm.
I can't give her away knowing she has these problems, because I know she won't be able to be re-homed, especially in my area with her issues. I can't face the thought of this animal I love with all my heart being euthanized because of a mistake *I* made.
Please please please help me!!!!!!!!!
