Any ideas? Something is going on with my 5-year-old cat. Last weekend she began laying in places she doesn't normally lay, wondering around the house, looking in places she normally doesn't look. Her nighttime bed on her cat post... to make a long story short needs repair and she won't sleep on it. We think that is the problem and maybe is the reason for that behavior.
BUT, Wednesday morning we found poo on the floor. It was all dried up (probably left the night before) but looked like it had been a slightly running poo. Friday morning we found the same in a location that appeared she may have been trying to get to her litter box. She has never pooed outside of her litter box before this. The poo that is in her litter box appears to be normal.
AND Thursday, I noticed that one of her eyes was a little watery and Friday was a little droopy. It looks better today (Saturday) and no morning surprises on the floor.
She is eating and drinking normally. Her energy level and routine is normal. We did not change food or litter products. However, she is like a dog and will eat anything she finds on the floor. We have not given her any flea medication. It is time to: She has been scratching, but I don't want to do that until she is better.
I am certain she is just be a little under the weather and it will pass, but I would like to find out what you think or what we can do to help her body heal itself. Thank you!!
P.s. Any natural remedy ideas to help her out would be appreciated.
