Some of the permanent residents of my home.. that I could get pictures of!! Stella and Indy hate the camera...
Luna, about 3 years and 1 month old. Had her since she was about 8 weeks. Spayed and pretty cranky.. the crankiest of all my kitties. But that's because she was here first and is the boss My first kitty outside of my parents home.
Wild Thing, vet estimated her to be about 8-10 years old. She came to us sometime last summer, got a horrible eye infection that scared us to death earlier on this year and cost us a ton, but survived and is such a sweet kitty :-) Already spayed.
Onyx, about 2 years and 2 months old. Found her and the rest of her litter in my shed from a feral momma (Muffin) when they were around 5-7 days old. Spayed, along with her other two remaining littermates (one who is mine, the others a friend).
Tiva, turned 1 year on 4/20/12. Born to feral momma (Muffin) under my neighbors porch, we had no access to them. Muffin brought them through my cat door when they were about 8 weeks old, hissing and spitting. Two of them socialized great, Tiva along with her brother Indy were always very timid and shy, so did not find new homes and stayed with us. They are still kind of stand-offish.. but I love them anyways She had to go through a big ordeal after escaping en route to the vet (explained further down) but is now spayed and comfortably loving life and care-freeness.
Tipper, super sweet stray that found us in our old neighborhood. We had him neutered and vaccinated, then returned him to his outdoor life. When we moved.. we couldn't leave him behind! Now he likes to spend most of his days lounging on my couch arm.
Muffin, the tricky feral who managed to give me two litters of kittens before we were finally able to trap and spay her. She is the momma of Stella, Onyx, Indy, and Tiva. She showed up at my house when she was about 4 months old and became fast friends with Luna and her brother (who is no longer with us ) and stayed around, I tried to socialize with her but she wouldn't come anywhere near me. Since we've moved, we've made progress and she will now let you pet her (kind of). You have to slowly creep while petting because she likes to be constantly walking away from you, I think if she's standing in one spot she feels cornered. But as long as she's moving and you're gently tip-toeing behind her while scratching her back she loves it!
Hercules, born 4/18/12. My handsome man :-) Tiva's his mommy, she broke out (and completely busted) our carrier while I was walking to the car to take her to be spayed. She wouldn't come near me for weeks after that, ended up pregnant and gave birth to 6 beautiful babies, one with a birth defect who passed, the other 5 who have all found homes (1 obviously with me!!!). He has an appointment to be neutered. Tiva is now spayed, btw.
Sensei, a neutered stray who showed up at our house for about the past 3 months before we moved. Very sweet and vocal. Super slim... has an elongated face and lankiness that reminds me of an oriental or siamese, hence the name.
Will post pics of Stella and Indy when they come around :-)
