Thank you, missmindy. I am so glad to hear you have made an appointment with an Internist Specialist. You won't regret it, and it will save money you that would have other wise paid a vet for their guess/hypothesis. I only wish I had gone to my highly respected internist vet specialist that I went to several weeks ago immediately* when last Nov my boy started coughing out of the blue, still had constipation, not eating much, and sleeping more.

By the time I took him to the specialist he was near death, hanging on by a thread, and yet even in this grave condition my vet kept saying it was "Heartworms". I knew it had to be something much worse, and it was, he was* dying, when I got the diagnosis from the Specialist; he was eaten up with cancer.

I mentioned that his ongoing constipation problem had been going on for several years, and I took him at least 3 times a year, beginning in 2014, to various vets in my area and always first mentioned it/constipation, and his overall malaise, but it was seemingly never taken seriously. One vet keep insisting my cat take antacids regularly, and that, having acid build-up in his gut, was what was causing "acid reflect" that was probably the culprit to his constipation making him not seem well and nauseous. It frankly never made sense to me. It seemed like odd, 'cool aid' logic to me. My cat had acid reflect..? No. Had I taken my sweet boy to a vet Internist Specialist then*, I very well may have him still with me today, in addition, to saving thousands of dollars while trying to get to the heart of exactly what was wrong with him. Too late now.

Please keep us posted.
As much as I want her to see the specialist, they are booked until the beginning of next month. Neither she nor I can keep going like this. This is my 3rd cat and my vet bills from all of their serious medical conditions are well into the 5 figure range. This issue alone has already been close to $2000. I'm not sure what other alternative I'm going to have but to let her go.

I don't think it had a chance to help. She left the vet Thursday night, was ok all day Friday, and now is vomiting early Saturday AM. The only variable I can think of is she spent Monday-Thursday at the vet getting enemas and didn't on Friday. She was so cleaned out I was told not to even expect her to poop until maybe now. She did go Friday PM. I'm assuming now there are separate issues happening and I don't know if I can keep her going. I've missed a ton of work not to mention the expense of so many vet and ER visits.

You have done so much for that sweet girl, and so much more than most. I know how much this hurts, the helpless feelings, the anger, the anguish of seeing someone you love go through this. I'll pray for you both, my thoughts and heart are with you too.

Wonder why she is throwing up. She sounds like she's pretty cleaned out. Maybe it's just stress. Will she eat at all?
I completely understand your worries with the expense. Timmer's illness ran up a tab of probably $4,000. I had to get a Credit Care card for it and I'm still paying it off.
I'm so sorry things have gotten to this point for you and your kitty.

Gastro food will be here this week. She's still vomitting after taking zofran. I'm waiting for Call from the vet to see what to so next. I'm assuming back to the ER.

Thank you. I already have 6000 thousand on care credit. She eats but then gets sick a couple hours later.

And now the vomiting is back. This is a nightmare. The only thing that stopped the vomiting was daily enemas. She didn't get one today. The specialist can't see her for 3 more weeks. I think I'm going to lose my girl.
I'm so sorry! Try not to panic, but I know it is so hard not to. Does she like milk? If so, perhaps try diluting it with a little water and give to her. Milk has electrolytes if she is dehydrated, and can have a mild laxative affect. It with some, can help coat the stomach too. The main thing is that she is able to (drink water to) stay hydrated, and eat something very easy on her stomach. Will she eat (Gerber in a jar) baby food? Either turkey, chicken, or beef? Does your Vet has an anti-nausea/anti-diarrhea med you can pick up today? Please keep us posted.

You sound like me! I've also spent thousands in just the last month to try to help my baby. You sound like such a fantastic mommy. Don't give up or lose hope. We must always have hope! God Bless you!

Her vet recommended watching and waiting for a while. She thinks everything is still related to her motility issue. She has zofran for nausea, but it was explained to me that may not help her in this situation. Monday she will go in for more imaging unless things start to go downhill again. The specialist and an ultrasound is what she needs, and we are stuck for the moment.

Just an update for those following this saga-we had 4 vomiting episodes today, but we also had 2 very large poops 12 hours apart that she went into her litter box and did on her own. Her cisapride dose was doubled up today which may have contributed to vomiting. At least I know she can poop on her own still.

The pooping is good news! Now my cat Demi is vomitting! I think his new grain-free kibble is too small, he just swallows it and then pukes several hours later.

How is she doing ? That is very good news that she was able to eliminate her waste. Is she eating anything at all now? Have you tried baby food? I recommend trying (my local Walmart sells it here in FL), if you can find it, a Hartz brand called, "Delectables Chicken and Veggies'. All of mine loved/love it. They always liked and preferred gravy types of wet cat food and would at least lick the gravy sauce (they never liked pate types) in this, especially when they were very sick, at least until they got so sick that they couldn't eat anything any more, it was this, and baby food they would eat.

She seems pretty normal. She's been eating pretty well. Today she is snubbing all wet food (typical behavior), but is very hungry for her kibble. I will check out the stew for her too! Thank you!

We are going to the vet for one more X-ray tomorrow to make sure what's there is looking normal. No enemas or anything.

That is such good news that she is eating, and is feeling much better it seems. I know you are relieved.

Vomiting again :(. Also found a little piece of fresh poop in bed, so I'm assuming she needs to go and can't or is holding it. I thought we were on the right track :(

She went straight to her food dish, but can't eat because of X-ray's today.
