I love good mac and cheese - homemade. Do you make a white sauce and add the cheese for the sauce and then bake it?Originally Posted by rapunzel47
We need a superquick meal tonight. Good thing there's just enough left of the Mac and Cheese from last night.
Yup. Plus a good dose of dry mustard and some cayenne for oomph. Awesome stuff. I embellished a little last night, using some bacon bits in the body and on top and some tomato slices on top as well. We approve.Originally Posted by Yosemite

Lots of yums there. I love beef barley soup. I don't make it too often, since Rob prefers cream soups, and there is no lack of options there. So, I get my fix when I'm out mostly.Originally Posted by Yosemite
I've just spent the last 2 hours making beef barley soup, beef stew and Leek/Potato soup.
Sam, seriously, you make me hungry!Originally Posted by WellingtonCats

Macadamia ice-cream for dessert.
Sounds good. I did that yesterday. Hubby always wants me to put barley in my beef stew and I refuse because I'm the one cooking it and I think barley belongs in beef soup not beef stew. So anyway, I got to feeling sorry for him yesterday and figured if I was making stew anyway, why not use the slow cooker and make him some soup. I basically just put the same ingredients cut smaller and different herbs and spices into the soup, yes, plus the barley, so he got both yesterday and was very happy.Originally Posted by tierre0
Just threw the makings for Beef Barley Soup into the Crock Pot so that will be what I am having for dinner. With some nice crusty bread, and a couple of pieces of cheese. For dessert Black Cherry Frozen Yogurt...
