Hi..I just bought a Persian cat from a friend. Although she's very sweet, she likes to keep to herself. It's been a week since I bought her and she's been acting normal. She doesn't liked to be held too much and will climb of your lap within minutes. Also she gets irritated if I pet her for more than a few minutes. She's is a very quiet and lazy cat so when this morning she jumped at me I was quite surprised. I was laying on the sofa when she tried to jump at me. Then she quickly ran away. I got up to get to my room but she ran ahead of me and Sat there on my way starring at me all weirdly. I took a step towards her but she again ran away to behind a sofa and poked her head out. As soon as she saw me she ducked. I Don't know if she was trying to play hide and seek with me or what. It's just that she doesn't appear to be a attention seeking cat or a playing one. Also she's been hiding in dark places a lot lately. Can you help me?....I'm worried...never seen her so skittish.
