size of pictures in thread

If I want to put a picture in a thread how big should it be and how many pixels should it be? For instance, I have a picture from my wedding that is 574x431 and 127 K. Is this an ok size? I have another picture that is 419x559 - 114 K. These pictures are all on photobucket. Thanks for any help!!

A lovely pic -- the size is fine. Rule of thumb: keep the width to no more than 640 pixels, and you'll be fine.
