I posted last week about my son's cat, Six, who had a urinary tract infection. I am not certain of the details, but it somehow affected his kidneys and my son made the heartwrenching decision on Tuesday to have the vet put Six down. He had stopped eating and was crying in pain. He was too good of a cat to let him suffer like that.
Joe (my son) had adopted Six when he was a little kitten. Joe loved him very much. Six grew to be a very large cat. Joe acquired several other cats and Six was the alpha, the leader. He was very affectionate and everyone loved him. I can't count the times I heard friends say that if Joe ever wanted to rehome Six they would take him...not a chance. Six was also very smart and protective of the other cats and raised the kittens. He is missed by all.
