I did see your previous post, but thank you for including the photo on this one. I am seeing a watery eye, which makes me suspect some sort of Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) is the culprit here. It almost certainly won't go away on its own, although they occasionally do. No, the Vaseline won't help. However, you can get chamomile tea at the grocery store (not expensive, I know that's an issue for you), brew a cup, chill it, and gently dab a bit on his nose several times a day. It is soothing, and antibacterial, and will at least help keep that at a low roar until you see the vet.
Is he eating well, and using his box normally? If so, he isn't critically ill at this point. Does he sound snuffly? If so, some time in the bathroom with hot water running in the shower (yep, just like you did for your kids when they were snuffly) will help.
