Hopefully this fits in this section.
I have fostered a lot of cats and kittens from the humane society here. Recently I have been fostering mostly sick kittens and sick cats that come in periodically. I foster about 3-4 at a time, monthly. I have an isolation/quarantine setup in the downstairs of the house. Usually I am gone a good part of the day or cannot keep a close eye on their eating/drinking intake (only speculating what is gone in the bowl) to decide either or not to syringe feed them at times.
In my computer room in which I spend a lot of time researching stuff, writing articles or working on various websites I manage, I have a three screen computer setup. I am wondering what you all think about the idea of setting up a surveillance system that streams to my computer and watching how the kitten/cat did in a fast forward of the recorded video when I get home from work and keeping an eye on the video while I am working in my computer room.
Just a small thought/idea I had when I was thinking of additional things I could to to up the chances of sick kittens making it, although I have done a good job so far in not losing very many and have been making good decisions on syringe feeding.
