This is Bella. She is a Siberian Forest Cat. In this picture, she's 10 weeks old. Her colouring is Tabby, but what kind? I think Mackerel but, not sure...thought?
Excellent! I thought so, just wasn't sure. She's a sweet bugger lol. The males in her breed can get as big as 25 lbs, her paws are big, so we expect her to be big but not that big!! Lol
I agree with GemsGem, she's a blue mackerel tabby. I'm wondering why you came here to find out her color/pattern. I would have expected the breeder to tell you what she is.
Her papers state her colour and breed, birthdate and shots and initial vet check, lineage etc. Her pedigree will be sent to us when we show the breeder proof of spay. Her coat is very soft. Siberians take five years to finish growing, including their coat. She is only 13 weeks. Both parents are quite fluffy. Mom is brown. Dad is Blue. I expect she'll be big and fluffy. But, it is summer here and their coats molt then.
Her colour on her papers was listed as blue and I thought she was Gray or smoky. I didn't want to look stupid, so, I joined here and asked you fine folks.
Blue is genetically the dilute of black. For some reason the term "gray" does not exist in the organizations that register cats. Never have figured that on out. :dk:
Smoke is a pattern rather than a color. It means that the roots of the hairs are white, not just a white undercoat.
