I realized very quickly that Rory cannot hold his tail straight; it is always curled like this, usually over his back like a scorpion, although he will hold it lower (yet still curled in this manner) when he is not feeling well. I don't think he physically can do the 'straight tail with curled tip' thing, so I assume this scorpion-pose is his equivalent.

Indy does this exact thing. Her tail is double jointed. She never holds it straight up like a pole, it bends back like this.
