Hi all
I have been fostering a sweetie pie by the name of Henry. He is here for socialization purposes. He has made amazing progress in a short while. A month ago he was hiding in a half filled suitcase in our basement living/spare room. Now he will come for scritches, meow cutely for food and sleeps on my bed. The problem with him is , that he is extremely skittish. If you walk towards him he will run away. Left to his own devices, he will come and luv on you. I noticed today that when he lies down, his claws (especially the back paws) sorta poke out a bit. Not a lot but having two other cats, whoz claws dont show at all when they are sleeping, I think Henry needs a nail trimming. And now the question:
Do i snuggle him up in a towel and just try to get his nails done all at a time?
I have tried doing it with treat but he get scared when you handle his paws and tries to wiggle away and starts shaking. I dont want to traumatize him after he has been so brave in taking the first steps towards human companionship. I also tried to snip them when he was sleeping , and that didnt work either.
Please help. I dont want him to get his nails caught or split or get infected.
Thankyou
