I have an inside kitty that is 1 1/2 yrs old that I have had since 12 weeks old which has been very healthy overall. All of her siblings died within the first 16 weeks of life and the mother died last year, all of unknown causes. I have kept a very close eye on this baby, probably jumping the gun and running her to the vet over not serious things....but better safe than sorry. My question is this: my little girl a few months ago started to breathe with her mouth open when she was running hard around the house playing. I immediately took her to our vet that in turn took x-rays and blood work, she suspected maybe asthma, but everything came back fine except for Basiphil level was flagged for being slightly elevated. I was told to keep an eye on her but otherwise there was nothing else to do. My little girl acted fine, ate well, played and groomed so I quite worrying. Yesterday however while she was playing hard with another kitty I noticed that she was breathing out her mouth again (only a couple of times) then stopped. Should I be concerned or am I being an mom that worries way too much?
