I was feeding my cat a can of ziwipeak tonight, rabbit and lamb and pulled out a sharp piece of bone about 12/13mm long.

On their website it says: May contain small pieces of bone (up to 0.19 inch or 5mm).

Kind of freaked out now, how dangerous it this?

I mince it up a bit usually when I take it out of the can but have never really searched through it.  Now I'm wondering if this isn't the first time.

No idea what do.

Hmm, I'd be a bit leery of feeding bones like that even though it's small, if it's sharp it could do some damage. Is it possible for you to blend the food? That could put your mind at ease about any little bits of bone. I use one of those hand held immersion blenders for certain foods (one of my cats only eats smooth pate  ) and it gets everything nicely smoothed out. I'm sure it would work for little bits of bone like that.

Yeah I don't know, I'm a little reticent to feed it all now, even a different flavor.

I did a search and others have found similar sharp bits of bone.
