Shared placenta; 1 kitten born and placenta expelled, second kitten still attached and inside. Help?

Crisis averted, looks like I was mistaken!

7 healthy kittens, one set of twins!

(I assumed kitten #7 might be attached to a second twin, #8, by the placenta)

But looks like I'm just super tired and didn't check diligently enough.

Seven kittens is a lot. Watch for a runt or two. You may need to supplement the runts with kitten formula, or rotate the kittens in groups of 4 biggest and 3 smallest every 2 hours through the day.
