Hi everyone, usually, I'd settle in and get to know my way around, but I am desperate for some help!!!
I have two burmese fur-babies.... beautiful.... lights of my life!!!
My boy is nearing 1 year old, he is the most intelligent cat I've ever known, but i am sure that has someting to do with the fact I have taken him everywhere with me since day 1. We're very close. When I started working, he was lonely, I also had the inclination to make more of him!!! So I bouht a little girl. She's a delicate little flower, but very naivem all she wants to do is kiss and cuddle!!! Shes around 7 months, but still to small to allow her to become pregnant.
It was tough at first, Kahlua (my boy) is sociable with people but not animals and he despised her. but after a while he took to her and they fell in love! Always cuddling up together, grooming each other, playing. When she came on heat, it was hard, but neither knew whatthey were doing so it was pretty safe and it didn;t last long... then they learned how to!!!! I've never seen a female cat act this way!!! She wanted him badly!
Since then, he does not let up on her, this about 2 months. He constantly chases her and bites her on the neck, to the point she has a massive scab. She fights back once she gets free, but still it is damaging her.
When he does it, it is like an attack.... he lets a high pitched screeeech out then latches on to the poor little frightened girl. It drives me nuts! Nothing I do stops him from doing it...... I don;t know how to protect her neck.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Is his behaviour normal?
He isn't the sweet baby at all any more, he doesn't even play.... he just moans all day (between attacks)
