Senior Cat With Fleas

Just discovered my cat Baloo has fleas. Never notice any fleas in the house jumping around or anything.. but sure enough, they are on her. She is about 16years old. Is there any flea drop known to be pretty safe for a senior cat? I know different cats can have different reactions, but generally speaking is there anything that SHOULD be safe, like Advantage II? I want to help her get rid of these asap. Thanks.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that Baloo has fleas. Advantage and Frontline are two of the most popular flea meds. I would recommend asking your vet which products they would recommend for her.

I found a lot of good reviews for oral Comfortis for older cats, and on sites that are NOT selling anything (the only ones I really trust). Most cats seemed to eat it with no issues, although I have to crush them, dissolve in water, and syringe them down my persnikity little brat.
