Also I put two dishes of wet food in one for Shelia in a high sided bowl and for the kittens I put the food in a little saucer plate. Shelia's been eating the kittens' dish first then will nibble from her bowl. What should I do about that? Or should I stop leaving food out for the kittens?

The kittens are not ready to eat until 5-6 weeks at least, so a plate for them is not necessary right yet.
