A few days after I adopted my first cat Ollie, I noticed that he was coughing a lot. He took two courses of antibiotics and when it didn't clear up he was put on prednisone for chronic bronchitis/feline asthma. That stopped the coughing, but my vet said it couldn't be on it indefinitely so now I use the aerokat to give him fluticasone. Now, my second kitty Charlie has started coughing in exactly the same way. Is it possible that he caught it from Ollie? If so, is this a bacterial infection or a virus? The thought of having to use the aerokat with both cats is pretty overwhelming . . .

Honestly, I think this is a question for your Vet, because I don't see how asthma can be contagious. Perhaps what Ollie has isn't really asthma :dunno: ? Either that or this is just a very unlucky coincidence :frown:

Hi there,
I don't think you can catch asthma be 100% take a visit to the vets.
Let them know of the symptoms and past problems/any concerns you have...
Good Luck!
