Scab Fell Off Side / Flank

Hello.
I think this is a scab. It fell off Cece sometime in the last 48 hours. She got it on her flank. I’m not entirely sure how it got there or how long it had been there, since I was away on an urgent trip for 2 weeks. It was there at least 2 weeks. Any ideas? She is an indoor rescue cat and still getting used to surroundings, adopted in April.

It certainly LOOKS like a scab. And if it fell off naturally, that means that the original wound is healed, or almost so. She could have just been vigorously scratching a random itch, or have caught herself on something sharp in the home. I know, but even when we think there's nothing that could hurt a cat, a cat can find SOMETHING with an edge on it, and just HAVE to rub against it!
