it is a shame about the bitting problem my mate has a hamster that loves to bit every one but her it bit her brother and he just bleed for ages

I wouldn't worry about the cats doing anything.. my kitties never pay attention to the hamsters.

Aww, what a cute hammie! I had hamsters growing up- I've owned at least 20 of them. At one point I even bought a boy who later turned out to be a pregnant girl and she had 10 babies!
