Hello there. Some of you may remember, we just got our new kitty Sasha about two weeks ago. Well, she is having litter box issues. We keep her in her own room (the guest bathroom) at night and let her out during the day to play. When she is in her room, she uses the litter box just fine, but when she is out and about in the house, she poops anywhere she can find a spot to go. I think it is because she can't find the box.
We don't want to keep her in the bathroom all the time because that doesn't help her figure out how to return to the box when she is out of the bathroom. And she cries if she is awake and alone in the bathroom.
What is the best way of going about training her to go look for the litter box when she is out of sight of it. Should we take the litter box around with her so she can see it? Then she might not learn that it will sometimes bewhere she can't see it?
Help...tonight she went poop in the living room chair when we turned our heads for a second! Yuck!
Thanks,
Ginger
