Roundworm Before Infectious

If a human ingests a roundworm egg from a cat before it becomes infectious in the 5-10 days, can it still cause an infection? If not, does the human just pass it?

Unless you lick your cat, you probaby won't ingest a roundworm egg .

You can get hookworm meds OTC at a pharmacy and they also kill roundworms, if you're really concerned.
