Rocket has not been a happy cat since Tommy left. Well, OK, I miss him, too -- but I don't go about the house yowling and driving my human nuts.
So I finally broke down and got Rocket a new pal:
He had his vet check-up and came home yesterday. He was positive for roundworms, so he's in isolation until that gets cleared up. I think Rocket and Mellie know something's up, though. I'm sure they can hear him, even through two closed doors.
He's between three and four years old. He was adopted twice before. The first adopter brought him back because their child developed an allergy. The second adopter brought him back because they didn't like him jumping on the counter.
Hopefully the third time is the charm. He has a very nice personality toward people. It seemed like he got along well with the other cats at the shelter. But of course, that's no predictor of how he'll do here when the resident cats have an established territory. We'll just have to take it real slow.
No name, yet. Any suggestions are welcome.
